John Donovan is a native Newfoundlander – born and raised in St. John’s.  He proudly returns to his childhood home for frequent visits to reconnect with family and friends.  He enjoys the charm and character of the old city, however, has made Ottawa his home for the past 20 years.  With his wife and business partner Marnie, John has raised two children in the capital and has reveled in the exciting pursuit of the outdoor lifestyle that Ottawa affords.  Over the course of these two decades, he has also honed his skills in customer service and sales, which led him on  a natural progression to a career in real estate.

John has been a sales representative for Royal LePage in Ottawa since 2004.  He enjoys guiding people through the journey of purchasing everything from a dream home to an investment property.  Buying and selling homes can be one of the most stressful and exhilarating life experiences one can face.  John’s reassuring demeanour coupled with his fierce honesty and integrity offer his clients a welcomed balance, whether they are first time or well seasoned home buyers and sellers.  People gravitate to him because he is accessible and grounded and will leave each and every client feeling the same – as though they are his only one.  John’s clients trust him because he is realistic. He directs people towards the path that is best, not easiest.  While his clients can vouch for his professionalism and success, so too can his career achievements.  These include real estate awards such as the Master Sales in 2006, the President’s Gold in both 2007 & 2008, and the Diamond in 2009 & 2010, which placed John among Canada’s top 3% in sales.

John pursues his personal interests in much the same way as he does his professional – with passion, enthusiasm and a motivation to excel. He is always seeking new challenges, whether it is running a marathon, kite surfing, mountain biking, or playing hockey with his son.
